Virtual Simulation Systems is a groundbreaking company developing new and custom solutions to military or civilian simulation needs. We offer an innovative range of products in the synthetic training realm and are constantly developing new technologies to meet cost-effective outcomes.

VSS designs and builds custom simulators, full procedural or part task trainers to suit any needs and any budget. From vehicles to aircraft, projection domes to virtual displays, we can provide an affordable service and bespoke workmanship. Our range of existing Commercial Off The Shelf simulators are modular and can be combined, customized or extended in many ways.

Simulated Weapons

Recoil module

Recoil Assemblies

VSS have incorporated the option of a recoil assembly that will suit the desired weapon of choice. The recoil systems have been designed to provide gunner feedback when the weapon is fired. Additional functionality will include gas stoppages with a slowing of the cyclic rate to initiate a barrel change drill. The recoil system is incorporated into the ammunition box attached to the weapon and is hidden from view. The recoil operates on a 12 volt electrical system that negates the requirement for air compressors with nil chance of electrocution to users

M2

M2 .50 Cal BMG

The M2 .50cal BMG is a well known and respected weapon system by both blue and red teams. Normally a reliable and very effective weapon to employ, its high ammunition cost makes it an expensive platform to operate in a sustained fire mode when training. The VSS 'Ma Duce' M2 is a highly detailed replica that offers unparallelled fidelity to the operator whilst immersed in the virtual battlefield. The VSS M2 operates as the original with all the required functioning parts to assist testing trainees in weapon stoppages and procedures.

M60

M60 GPMG

The M60 general purpose machine gun is the 'old faithful' of the infantry section support weapon. Normally seen in action with Vietnam era movies, the weapon is a tried and tested platform in suppression and area target engagement. Chambered in 7.62mm and now over 50 years old, the reliable M60 is still being used by NATO countries in secondary roles such as CH47 rear protection and Forward Operating Base strongpoints.

M240

Simulated M240 Machine Gun

The M240 is the new workhorse of the mounted machine gun crews with thousands now employed with armies around the world. A generally reliable automatic weapon in 7.62mm caliber, it provides good suppression and support at extended ranges. The VSS M240 is a highly detailed simulated weapon that provides trainees with various degrees of weapon readiness drills, marksmanship and engagement roles, whilst necessitating the 'immediate actions' required upon a stoppage.
